As we embark on our 17th year of Solidaridad, Inspiracion and Amistad, we continue to strive for excellence and achievement within our community and we have promoted sisterhood, academic excellence, and awareness of our cultures both on and off of WIU's campus

We strive for the best and continue to lead by example in our community at large.

A few words to think about...
 

Pledging any organization is long hard work,
you should be able to trust the members
of the organization, have a willingness to learn from others,
manage your time and find your limits and even go beyond them.
Pledging is NOT FOR EVERYONE, you must ask yourself if you are ready.
Consider the following:
Are you a team player? How well do you follow instructions?
How much are you willing to give to SIA?
What can SIA offer you?
Have you looked at all your options?
What kind of woman do you want to be?
Can you invest the same amount of time in us
and yourself as we will invest in you?
You should have answers to all these questions
and the most important question of all, why SIA?
Hermandad de Sigma Iota Alpha Inc.
is more than parties, letters and large membership numbers.
It's about growing both professionally, culturally and as a woman.
It also means a commitment that goes further than college.
The sisters of DELTA chapter work hard to keep this chapter alive
and anyone who works hard enough to join our sisterhood,
is expected to always keep the flame of SIA burning at this chapter.
Pledging is hard, many have tried but not all have succeeded and those
who have are examples of triumph and hope.
They are symbols of history past and of the future
that is HERMANDAD DE SIGMA IOTA ALPHA INC.
Being a strong, positive SIA woman is even harder
than the process of becoming one.
